CANTON -- Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country's Wellness Committee hosts a 5K Walk/Run/Wheel Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Partridge Run Trail located on Sullivan Drive, to raise money for its outdoor recreation program .
The five-kilometer route is wheelchair accessible.
Registration is 8 to 9 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9 a.m. Adults who fill out a form and send it in with their payment before July 15 will receive a free t-shirt, and children will receive a free wrist band. The entry fee will be $20 per person, $35 per family, with children under 12 free.
Entry forms are on CP of the North County's website at www.cpnorthcountry.org, on the runners’ website www.northernrunner.org, or they can be picked up at any of CPANY’s four office locations.
The association’s outdoor recreation program offers people with disabilities the chance to enjoy the outdoors with trained professionals in activities such as canoeing, camping, horseback riding, and snowshoeing. All activities are offered with instruction and training to accommodate physical and learning needs. The program provides learning and skill-gaining experiences and the opportunity to develop new friendships.
