EDWARDS -- Canton's Waydown Wailers will perform at the Edwards Opera House at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Blending original roots rock, blues rock and jam with a healthy dash of Americana and country, Waydown Wailers refer to their sound as "Outlaw Jam."
The band features brothers Dave (guitar/lead vocals) and Christian Parker (lead guitar), Michael Scriminger (drums/percussion) and Connor Pelkey (bass backing vocals).
Woodstock Records has released two albums by Waydown Wailers, 2013's "State of the Union" and 2015's "Empty Promises."
Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door before the show beginning at 6 p.m. The Edwards Opera House is located on the second floor of the Edwards Town Hall.
Advance tickets for all shows are available through mail. Those interested can send a check payable to “The Edwards Arts Council, Inc.” to P.O. Box 241, Edwards, NY 13635. The tickets will be available at the box office the night of the show.
The Edwards Arts Council was formed in 2002 with the mission of preserving the Edwards Town Hall, which was erected in 1896 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
