CANTON -- Little River Community School is having an open house at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18.
Child-care and refreshments will be provided.
There will be an informal discussion about the program and the philosophy of the school with time for questions and answers. Little River is a K-12 alternative school with a cooperative, multi-age learning environment and an 8:1 student teacher ratio.
The school also provides services and support for families who want to school at home including in-school opportunities and curriculum support. There are openings for the fall 2010/2011 school year.
Tuition aid, up to nearly one half off the full price, is available to lower and middle-income families. Busing within a 15-mile radius is provided by the local school district.
