CANTON -- The Canton Recreation Department is sponsoring a four-evening canoe and kayak clinic from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, July 11 to 14.
The clinics, at Taylor Park Community Beach, are led by Rushton Canoe Weekend Chairman Chuck Bolesh.
Novice and beginner paddlers can learn proper safety and paddling techniques.
Registration is $25 per person. Some boats and equipment are available for use. If you have your own, you are encouraged to bring them.
Canton Recreation strongly recommends that novice kayakers, especially children, take this clinic before taking advantage of Taylor Park's new kayak rental program.
For more information or to register call the recreation office at 386-3992.
