Canine consultant Rick Gilchrist will be offering two six-week basic dog skills classes beginning this month in Canton and Potsdam. Potsdam classes will be held at 6 p.m. Mondays Sept. 26 through Nov. 7 (with a week off on Oct. 3) at the First Presbyterian Church. Canton classes will be at 6 p.m. Wednesdays Sept. 28 through Nov. 2 at the Canton Animal Clinic.
The cost is $25 per class or $120 for all six weeks if paid up front.
This class will teach basic skills of sit, stay, come, etc., but will also cover socialization and canine psychology and behavior which will allow the owners to have the ability to understand and communicate with their dogs in a way they never could before.
