POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Arts Council will offer two visual arts classes for beginners this February; Intro to Calligraphy with Mickey Champagne and Reading a Sewing Pattern with Barbara Vezina.
Mickey Champagne will introduce adults to basic calligraphy skills Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The cost will be $30. Barbara Vezina will explain how to decipher the back of an envelope pattern, read the symbols on the pattern pieces and provide basic sewing guidance.
Her class will be Sunday, Feb. 10 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The cost will be $40.
Both classes will meet in room 229 of downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St.
