The American Red Cross will host several blood drives throughout St. Lawrence County in May and June.
They say blood and platelet donors are needed during the challenging summer months.
People can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-733-2767, at redcrossblood.org or through their smartphone app.

• Heuvelton - May 25, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Heuvelton Central School, 87 Washington St.
• Hermon - May 31, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Edwards-Knox Central School, 2512 CR 24.
• Colton - June 1, 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Colton-Pierrepont Central, 4921 SH 56.
• DeKalb Junction - June 4, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., and June 11, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., DeKalb Junction Fire Department, 4323 U.S. Highway 11.
• Ogdensburg - June 6, 12:30-5:30 p.m., Elks 772, 322 Caroline St.
• Gouverneur - June 7, 12:30-5:30 p.m., Gouverneur VFW, 100 West Main St.
• Massena - June 8, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., New York Power Authority, Hawkins Point Road.
