OGDENSBURG – The Battle of Ogdensburg 1812 re-enactment will be staged Feb. 24 and 25, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The event is hosted by Macdonell's Company of the Glengarry Light Infantry Fencibles.
The Glengarry Light Infantry and Militia were among the units that captured the town as they crossed the frozen St. Lawrence River.
A downtown battle with streets closed will be staged on Saturday, from 1-2:30 p.m.
On Sunday, there will be a battle at Lighthouse Point.
English country dancing will be held Saturday evening at the Amvets post.
Other activities are planned around the re-enactment.
