Author to discuss U.S.-Canadian releations during Obama Era in Potsdam Wednesday

POTSDAM -- Author David Dyment will visit Clarkson University Wednesday, Nov. 14, to speak on “United States - Canada Relations in the Obama Era” at 4:30 p.m. in Snell Hall Petersen Board Room. Light refreshments will be provided.

He is currently a senior research associate in the Centre on North American Politics and Society at Carleton University. A past director of the Parliamentary Internship Programme, he has served as a senior policy adviser in Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and on the immediate staff of the governor general of Canada.

His opinion pieces have been featured in the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail and other leading newspapers. He has also been on CTV, CBC, BBC, and in French on Radio-Canada.

An Ontario-Quebec Exchange Fellow, he received his doctorate from the Université de Montréal.
