CANTON - Author Dinty Moore will speak and read from recent works in an appearance at St. Lawrence University on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 8 p.m. in the Common Room of Sykes Residence Hall.
The event, part of the University's Writers Series, is open to the public, free of charge.
Moore's memoir Between Panic & Desire was the winner of the Grub Street Nonfiction Book Prize in 2009.
Moore's essays and stories have been published in The Southern Review, The Georgia Review, Harpers, The New York Times Sunday Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine, Gettysburg Review, Utne Reader and Crazyhorse, and many other publications.
