Potsdam Plein Air Festival juror Nancy Brossard works on a painting.
POTSDAM – Local artists are invited to participate in the St. Lawrence County Arts Council town-wide Potsdam Plein Air Festival September 18-20.
While there are many other similar open-air art festivals in the area, this will be the first of its kind in Potsdam.
Both professional and amateur artists who work in any medium and live in any area are invited to register to participate. Artists will receive a guide-map of scenic locations around Potsdam. Some locations are also featured in the Potsdam Public Museum’s Sandstone Festival tours.
Festival events include receptions for artists to meet and network together, a live art auction to benefit the festival, a show and sale for community members to purchase in person from the artists, and cash prizes awarded by a juror.
The registration deadline for participating artists is Sept. 10.
