POTSDAM – Kids and teens can expand their creativity at the St. Lawrence County Arts Council this March.
All classes are held at Downtown Snell Hall in Potsdam.
Contact the SLC Arts Council to register and pre-pay for classes at 265-6860 or www.slcartscouncil.org.
• Arts Around the World for ages 6-12 with Kris Rozelle - Saturday, March 12, 10-11:30 a.m. Aboriginal Australian Boomerangs. Learn some of the Aboriginal symbols such as concentric circles for campsites or waterholes to paint on your boomerang. $15, plus $5 materials fee.
• Writing the 10 Minute Play with Craig Thornton for ages 13-18 - Saturday, March 12, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (class will break for 1-hour for lunch). This is a three-hour intensive workshop for students who want to learn playwriting structure and acquire skills to complete their own ten-minute play. This workshop is open to writers of all levels. $28.
• Magic Club with Rich Tenace - Monday, March 21, 4-5:30 p.m. Ages 7-14. Future classes in this series are every third Monday night. $15, plus $10 for the first class – no materials fees for subsequent classes, students need to bring materials previously purchased.
