Seven organizations are opening their doors Saturday, April 30, for an art "Gallery Hop" which spans Canton, Potsdam and Ogdensburg. Each stop will offer a different art exhibit and is free and open to everyone.
While all seven organizations have regular hours when they are open to the public, the Gallery Hop event gives community members a special reason to get out and visit these locations.
Each site is scheduled for a 30 to 60 minute block of time so community members can have a day-long adventure from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Some sites will offer brief presentations during their scheduled time block; for example, the Brown Bag Lunch Lecture at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association starts at 12:30 p.m.
Participating organizations include: the Frederic Remington Art Museum, James F. Montpelier Gallery at OFA, St. Lawrence County Historical Association, Richard F. Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawrence University, SLC Arts Gallery at the Potsdam Town Hall, Potsdam Public Museum, and the Roland Gibson Gallery at SUNY Potsdam.
