NORFOLK -- The Parish of the Visitation and St. Raymond will hosting the 35th Summer Social and Festival of Foods Sunday, Aug. 19 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Father Amyot Parish Center, 3 Morris St.
Cost of a meal is $8 for adults or $4 for ages 5-12, and includes summer salads, hot dogs, hamburgers and sausage, baked beans, corn on the coband a sampling from the six different ethnic booths, a beverage and a make-your-own sundae from Stewart's Shops.
A simple meal is available for ages 5-12 for $2. The meal includes a hot dog, chips, beverage and sundae. Kids under age five eat free.
Other activities include a silent auction, Chinese auction, children's games, bingo for gift cards and gift items, a cake spin, Pepsi ring toss, free cotton candy and a white elephant sale.
There will be a raffle drawing at 2:30 p.m. with 48 different prizes to win; including three $100 prizes.
