MASSENA – The Massena Recreation Commission’s 19th Annual Ted Kot Youth Fishing Day for anglers 4 to 15 years old is Saturday, May 5 at the Wilson Hill boat launch and causeway.
Check-in and registration are from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Anglers must be registered to qualify for an award.
Fishing is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Awards will be made at 1:15 p.m.
Participants may bring a fishing rod and bait. Worms are the only bait allowed, and fishing will be from the shoreline only.
Massena Recreation is urging early pre-registrations with the names and ages of children at 315-769-3161, because a limited number of goodie bags will be passed out to registered competitors.
A free hot dog and soda will go to all youth participants
This event will be held rain or shine.
