Battle reenactment in Ogdensburg

Shots were fired and cannons boomed in downtown Ogdensburg as the British invaded and defeated the small Ogdensburg militia Saturday in a re-enactment of a War of 1812 battle. The battle re-enactors came from northern New York and eastern Canada. Events continue Sunday. The event is sponsored by Fort la Presentation Association and Forsythe Rifles.  See earlier story for details. NCNow photo by Cheryl Shumway.
