CANTON -- Sheep owners and those interested in becoming sheep owners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County Extension Learning Farm in Canton to talk about fiber and how products made from sheep’s wool and other fibers can be used for holiday gift giving.
The group may travel to Ostrander’s Sheep Shop after the meeting.
Extension Educator Betsy Hodge says, “Many of our North Country shepherds are doing creative and innovative things to add value to the wool and fibers produced by their sheep, goats, llamas and alpacas. This meeting is a great opportunity for ‘show and tell and sell.’”
The North Country Shepherd meeting is free to attend. For more info, call Hodge at 379-9192.
