St. Lawrence and Jefferson County Toys for Tots is working with Dollar General to do a “Christmas in July” collection of toys for needy children, from July 1 to 15.
The drop boxes are already in the stores.
The idea is to help offset the drives in the fall, said St. Lawrence County Toys for Tots Coordinator Raymond Cutway.
This is the first time they have tried this, he said, and they are hoping that it becomes a yearly event.
