CANTON -- Women business owners can learn how direct mailing can promote their business at the SUNY Canton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Women's Business Bootcamp Luncheon. The annual workshop is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center.

Grace Mueller, U.S. Postal Service business development specialist and Jill VanHoesen, industry co-chair for the Central New York Postal Council and CIO at Johnson Newspaper Corp., will present information on the Postal Service's Every Door Direct Mail service. The pair will show how the service can help businesses target just the right customers and how marketing can be tailored to their specific marketing needs.

The day will also include a special announcement by Cathy Pokines of the U.S. Small Business Administration regarding the InnovateHER Women's Business Challenge and the chance to compete for up to $30,000 in cash prizes.

The Women's Business Bootcamp Luncheon will also feature the Mini Marketplace, a display area where attendees can showcase and sell their products. The Women's Business Bootcamp is sponsored by the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency, Key Bank, Reh Center for Entrepreneurship and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The cost is $30 per person and pre-registration is required. The fee includes the luncheon and panel discussion as well as a table for the Mini Marketplace and plenty of networking opportunities.

To register, contact the SUNY Canton SBDC at 386-7312 or sbdc@canton.edu.
