St. Lawrence County job growth in non-farm sectors was flat last month compared to the same month last year, according to the state Department of Labor.
That’s behind the state’s statistics, where 156,800 jobs were gained over that time, a 1.6 percent increase, DOL said.
St. Lawrence County had 37,500 non-farm jobs in July 2018 and in July 2017, DOL said.
To the east in Franklin County, there was a small gain of 100. They had 19,100 people in non-farm jobs last month and 19,000 in July 2017, a .5 percent increase, DOL said.
To the west in Jefferson County, non-farm job growth was flat, with 43,900 people working in those positions both last month and the same month last year, according to DOL.
