St. Lawrence County gained several hundred non-farm jobs in February, as did the surrounding counties, according to the Department of Labor.
There were 38,900 non-farm jobs last month and 38,600 the same month last year in St. Lawrence County, a .8 percent increase, DOL said.
To the east in Franklin County, there were 18,900 non-farm jobs last month and 18,700 the same month last year, a .2 percent hike, DOL said.
To the west in Jefferson County, there were 40,900 non-farm jobs last month and 40,400 in February 2017, a .5 percent increase, DOL said.
