Donors to TAUNY’s Bridge the Gap campaign, which seeks to raise $50,000 by Oct. 14, have a chance to win a two-night mid-week stay at Catamount Lodge and Forest in South Colton.

People who make a donation between Monday, Sept. 28 and midnight Sunday night, Oct. 4 will be entered for a chance to win.

Donations can be made online at tauny.org, by phone at 386-4289, or in person at The TAUNY Center at 53 Main St. in Canton.

TAUNY needs to raise $50,000 to make up for a six-month gap in funding support from the New York State Council on the Arts. The Catamount Lodge prize is one of several gifts made to the campaign by TAUNY supporters.

To learn more about the campaign, and to contribute, readers can visit tauny.org or TAUNY’s Facebook page.

Joe and Ruth McWilliams, owners of Catamount Lodge and Forest, are longtime supporters of TAUNY—Traditional Arts in Upstate New York. To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their business and help TAUNY bridge its funding gap they are giving away a standard 2-night mid-week stay in the Lodge before the end of calendar year 2016 to someone lucky who enters TAUNY's drawing. A mid-week stay in the lodge, valued at $450, begins on Tuesday and ends on Thursday. Lodge guests have exclusive use of the facility with beds to sleep 10 plus a dining room that accommodates 20. The winner will receive a giveaway certificate good through the end of calendar year 2016.

Catamount Lodge, in the northwest corner of the Adirondack Park, is available all seasons of the year, for weddings, meetings, retreats, reunions and other gatherings with family and friends. Guests can hike, snowshoe and cross-country ski on marked and groomed trails that are open to the public, and can access Carry Falls Reservoir from the trails. There also are lots of other paddling and fishing opportunities nearby as well as groomed snowmobile trails. More information about the property is available online at www.catamountlodge.com and on Facebook at Catamount Lodge & Forest.

Individuals who want a chance to win this prize but are unable to make a gift may enter the drawing by sending their names by email to laura@tauny.org by the October 4th deadline.
