CANTON -- St. Lawrence University’s new $14 million residence hall will open to retuning students for the first time on Monday, Aug. 25.
It has room for 155 beds, informal common spaces, a study abroad-themed wing, and a new café serving convenient food items, coffees and teas.
The new residence hall, which was built to LEED standards, features a highly efficient geothermal heating and cooling system.
In conjunction with the new residence hall project, St. Lawrence University renovated its Quad, adding green space, a level area in the center and terraced steps leading to a promenade in front of Gunnison Memorial Chapel.
First-year students will begin moving into their residence halls beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24.
