AKWESASNE -- In-Touch Towers (Akwesasne) has completed construction of its second communication tower on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation.
The tower, southeast of the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino, was constructed to improve much-in-demand cellular and wireless coverage and provide wireless carriers and providers a space to lease.
In-Touch Towers, a Tarbell Management Group company, has recently signed agreements with Verizon Wireless and AT&T on the east tower and is expecting both carriers to install services in 2012.
In-Touch Towers’ first tower is along Route 37 on the reservation across from the Mohawk Library and Museum and provides lease space for Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Flint Communications.
Mark Laguador, VP for In-Touch Towers, said that “Tarbell Management Group and In-Touch Towers is constantly aware of the growing need for advanced technology in the community” and “we are trying to respond to those needs by providing the latest technology for community members and businesses”.
