Organic peaches sold from June 13-30 by Price Chopper and many other retailers nationwide are being recalled by the manufacturer – Wawona Packing Company – due to potential listeria contamination.
There have been no reports of illness associated with this product, a press release from Price Chopper said.
Customers who purchased the product have been notified using purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company’s loyalty card to alert those households that may have purchased the product.
Customers with the affected product should return it to their local Price Chopper in Canton, Potsdam, Massena, Gouverneur and Ogdensburg in St. Lawrence County for a full refund.
