Price Chopper Supermarkets is issuing a voluntary recall due to the possible presence of blue plastic wrap in eight-inch double-crust apple pies that were sold in the bakery department beginning June 26.
The pies in question have the UPC number 41735-23516.
Many customers who purchased the pies have been notified with Price Chopper’s SoundBite notification program, which uses data from its loyalty card program to alert people who may have purchased the product.
Price Chopper asks customers with the recalled pies to return them to the store for a full refund.
In St. Lawrence County, Price Chopper has stores in Canton, Potsdam, Massena, Gouverneur and Ogdensburg.
