POTSDAM – Bartmor Enterprise has moved from its original space inside the Aubuchon Mall, 63 Market St., to the Depot Street side of the building.

Owner Michael Bartow said his business specializes in transferring older media such as slides, photos, 8mm film and VHS to DVD.

He and his father Gary have been filming events and transferring media as a hobby for about a decade. They both decided there was a real need for this service.

“There’s no one else in the area doing this professionally,” Bartow said, noting his biggest customers are often older parents who want to make copies of old home movies for their children.

With powerful computer software, Bartow said he not only transfers films, he can also edit them, removing damaged portions or altering them to suit the customer.

In addition, he sharpens figure skates, and will soon offer eBay and Craigslist listing services.

People will be able to bring in items they wish to sell, and he’ll post the listings on both websites, track their progress and ship the items once they sell.

The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., but customers might want to call ahead at 262-0108.
