POTSDAM -- North Country Oil Change and Repair (NCOC) has been named the 2016 Business of the Year by the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber said nominations recognized owner Dave Mooney and his crew for “going out of their way for customer satisfaction.”

“They were praised for being very accommodating to the needs of their customers and for being exceptionally kind, patient, and honest, especially with the older members of our community,” the chamber said.

NCOC has recently lengthened their service bay hours to accommodate a higher demand.

NCOC is one of the few remaining stations with a full service who will pump gas for the customer.

They have sponsored little leagues in the past and donate to many worthy causes.

“They have proudly donated their flatbed truck for the parade review stand at Summer Festival for the last couple of years,” the chamber said in a release.

The award will be presented at the Potsdam Chamber’s Spring Lunch Thursday, May 12, at noon at the Potsdam Town & Country Club, 6194 State Highway 56. The event will also recognize businesses celebrating business milestone anniversaries.

The chamber will display information about its newest chamber members and close the bidding for their annual spring auction.
