POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its Pride in Potsdam Community Award.
This award reflects the efforts of an organization or business in enhancing the quality of life in Potsdam.
The nominations are reviewed using the following criteria: ongoing commitment to enhancing Potsdam, engage in specific activities that result in positive acclaim or recognition for themselves as well as the community, acts as a positive role model for other organizations or businesses in Potsdam, and supports other charitable and service organizations.
Nomination forms are available at the Potsdam Chamber office, 24 Market St., on the chamber’s website www.potsdamchamber.com or by request via potsdam@slic.com.
“Along with the nomination form, letters of support, testimonials, and other support materials are encouraged in order to give the review committee a complete picture of the nominees qualifications,” said executive director Marylee Ballou.
The chamber will also take any nominations for individuals in the Potsdam community that would meet the qualifications for its Citizen Honor Award.
“Basically the criteria are the same as that of the Pride in Potsdam Community Award,” said Ballou, “ but just on the individual level.”
Nominations can be submitted to Ballou via potsdam@slic.com or by letter mailed to Potsdam Chamber 24 Market St. Potsdam 13676.
Deadline to submit nominations for both awards is Oct. 13. The awards will be presented at the chamber’s annual dinner in November.
