Potsdam battery business partners with top solar installer in NYS

POTSDAM -- Potsdam-based Adirondack Battery and Solar has partnered with a highly regarded solar system installer as a consultant in the North Country’s “Solarize” campaigns.

Solarpowerworldonline.com just named APEX Solar Power of Queensbury as the number one residential solar installer in New York State. “APEX provides quality, speed and agility to install roof-top solar, as well as other solar products like water and space heating and cooling, which has earned my business as the installer of choice for my customers,” said Adirondack Battery and Solar owner and operator Amanda Potter.

APEX has local and state-wide sales representatives, which now include Potter, offering local project management, guidance and professional experience for a customer’s solar projects. To compete in the growing solar industry, Potter said that this is a great opportunity to provide a local North Country service through a nationally recognized company.

Solarize Northcountry has selected Apex Solar Power as their preferred installer for this outreach program. Solarize is a non-profit program that hosts outreach events dedicated to educating people about solar, and provides a below-market price for solar systems with people who sign up for a quote through the solarize campaign.

While the hub communities are centered around Canton, First Nation Akwesasne, and the Saranac Lake Region, anyone who wishes to learn more of the program and lives in the surrounding towns and counties can get a free estimate through the program. Potter can assist customers with the program so that they can benefit from reduced costs of solar installations that comes with this group purchasing model.

Potter has been living off grid for 21 years, with a solar power system and battery storage that she installed, which means that she is not even aware when a power outage occurs. “The security and peace of mind that I experience in my home is something I want for all people in the North Country,” she said.

Adirondack Battery and Solar was established in 2010 by Potter, specializing in on- and off-grid solar electric systems, and grid-tie solar with battery backup. Potter can be reached at Adirondack Battery & Solar at (315) 212-2114, and Amanda@AdirondackBatteryandSolar.com or apotter@ApexSolarPower.com
