POTSDAM -- Potsdam native Randy Sherman has purchased Plumley Real Estate, LLC from William Doody.

The realty company, at 6558 State Hwy 56, Market Street, has been in operation for 57 years.

“I am truly grateful for all the wonderful relationships I have developed throughout my time at Plumley,” said Doody. “It’s time for me to pass the torch and I’m fully confident in Randy’s ability to uphold the values and continue the success of Plumley.” he said.

“Plumley Real Estate has been serving the North Country since 1953 and there are several reasons for this longevity,” said Margie Sherman. “Throughout the years, Plumley has strived to provide the most accurate, timely and courteous service to the community. This is still true today and will continue as we move forward,” she said.

“Our current agents have combined experience of over 60 years of service and we’re in the process of adding several new faces to the team,” Ms. Sherman said.

Many North Country residents have either purchased or sold a home through Plumley. It is one of the oldest real estate firms in Potsdam.
