Parishville Transfer Station fees going up

PARISHVILLE -- Town of Parishville Clerk Connie Maguire says prices are going up at the town’s transfer station, and she wants to remind people that the facility is open to Parishville Town residents only, for garbage generated within the township.

Effective Oct. 1, the prices increase to $1 for bags up to 13 gallons, $2 for bags for bags from 13 to 39 gallons, and $3 and up for larger bags. Town residents should use clear bags when possible for garbage. You may recycle your glass, plastic, cans and clean papers at no charge.

People should be prepared to show identification showing that they are a Parishville residents.

The hours of operation for the transfer station are: Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to noon; Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
