OGDENSBURG -- An Ogdensburg man won $1,000 from a tax preparation promotion on Wednesday.
James Smithers won the cash from H&R Block’s giveaway through Feb. 15 where they each day will give $1,000 to 1,000 people who get their taxes done.
He won the money at the company’s office at the Seaway Shopping Center in Ogdensburg.
