St. Lawrence County gained 100 non-farm jobs in April compared to the same month in 2017.
St. Lawrence County had 39,200 non-farm jobs in April 2018 and 39,100 the same time last year.
These figures, not seasonally adjusted, are part of a preliminary report from the Labor Department on August numbers of employed and unemployed people in the state.
A more comprehensive report for April is due next week.
New York’s statewide unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.6 percent in April 2018. This unemployment rate matches New York State’s lowest level since July 2007.
