MASSENA -- Massena Business Development Corporation and the Adirondack Economic Development Corp. will host “So You Want To Be Your Own Boss” May 25 at the Town Hall from 6 to 8 p.m.
They will discuss risks and rewards of starting a business, along with how to find resources like startup loans, business plan assistance and opportunities to contract with New York State as a woman-, minority- or veteran-owned business.
They will also talk about why businesses succeed or fail, the importance of business planning and give other tips.
Participants can also sign up for a one-on-one meeting with AEDC staff to review the feasibility of a business idea or plan and the steps needed to be successful.
