MASSENA -- Massena will soon get a new logo.
The Town Council voted unanimously on Wednesday night to pay Civic Plus an extra $5,000 to design it, on top of the $25,000 they are paying them to design a new town website.
The funds come from casino compact revenue.
“It will be a brand,” Town Supervisor Joseph Gray said. “Everything we put out, I’d like to see this logo on it.”
Gray said the logo wasn’t in the initial web design plan, so they are paying extra for the job.
The company has a few potential solutions, and Councilman Samuel Carbone suggested they could put them online and let the people vote for their favorite.
The website, which will replace www.massenaworks.com, could be active as early as February, Larry Roulston of the Massena Business Development Corporation told the board.
