MASSENA – The Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominees for two community awards.

The Gert Jurkovich Commitment to the Community Award recognizes an individual, business or group that best exemplified Gert Jurkovich’s dedication and zeal for the community she worked so hard to promote.

The Walmart Business Leadership Award recognizes not only a person who runs a successful business, but someone who shows exceptional service to the community, respect for employees, and dedication to customer service.

Nominees must be members of the Massena Chamber. Nominations must be received in writing at the chamber office at 50 Main St., by Tuesday, Feb. 1.

You can call 769-3525 or visit www.massenachamber.com to verify that your nominee is a chamber member.

The chamber board will review nominations and decide the winners.

Nominations must include the name of the award, name of nominee, business name (if applicable), and specific details of why you feel they deserve the award.

Winners will be honored at the Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner Thursday, Feb. 17 at Dar’s Place.

This year’s chamber dinner theme is ‘We’re Plugged In.’ Chamber President Susan Flynn says that all community members are welcome to attend the annual dinner and should contact the chamber office for more details.
