MALONE -- A law firm with offices in Malone and Tupper Lake has been honored for helping people celebrating during the New Year's season get home safely.
Margaret Montimurro, from the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, presented the “Partners in Safety” award to John Muldowney, managing partner at Fischer, Bessette, Muldowney & Hunter, in recognition of the law firm’s sponsorship of Operation Get Home Safe during the New Year season.
Muldowney accepted the award during the Franklin County Legislature meeting on Thursday, Jan. 7.
Montimurro said that 121 people in Franklin County were able to safely make it home from celebrations thanks to the program sponsored by the law firm.
She thanked all private-sector partners for contributing to the state’s “admirable highway safety record.”
Fischer, Bessette, Muldowney & Hunter operates law offices in Malone, Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake.
