POTSDAM -- Hyde-Stone Mechanical Contractors, Inc., based in Watertown with an office in Potsdam, has been named the 2015 Commercial Contractor of the Year by ACCA, the Indoor Environment & Energy Efficiency Association.
“This is really a once in a lifetime award,” said Chris Stone, Hyde-Stone vice president. “There are so many top notch contractors in this category and we feel honored to be selected. If Hyde-Stone was a rock band, this would be like getting our picture on the cover of Rolling Stone. Our dedicated staff works to continually improve our knowledge, services, safety, and we are all very gratified to receive this recognition.”
“Again this year we had a number of innovative commercial contractors apply for this award,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. Hyde-Stone’s dedication to their customers by creating partnership through a Design/Build approach set them apart from the other finalists and earned them the award. Hyde-Stone was presented the Commercial Contractor of the Year award on March 18 at ACCA’s annual conference in Grapevine, Texas.
Hyde-Stone Mechanical Contractors was founded in 1893, but was purchased by the current leadership team of Jay, Chris, and Thom Stone in the 1980s. With locations in Watertown, Potsdam, and Plattsburgh, their desire to be more than just a contractor for their clients has made them a top-choice partner throughout the North Country.
ACCA is a national non-profit association serving businesses in indoor environmental and energy services. ACCA sets the standards for quality comfort systems, provides leading-edge education for contractors and their employees.
