MASSENA -- During November, Hannaford will solicit donations to Salvation Army from customers at the checkout counter.
At checkout, shoppers can add either $2 or $5 to their total grocery bill.
“Funds raised through this effort allow The Salvation Army to provide holiday assistance, food, clothing, help with utility bills, and much more throughout the year,” Salvation Army said in a prepared statement.
The solicitation will run through November 30.
