OGDENSBURG -- The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce named Acco Brands its business of the fourth quarter 2014.
The chamber cited Acco’s consolidating all of their operations to the former distribution center, as well as absorbing a Canadian branch.
This was significant for a couple of reasons. First, it demonstrated the commitment from ACCO to remain in Ogdensburg market. Second, it enabled ACCO to hire an additional 20-plus employees, most of whom are local. ACCO is one of the largest employers in Ogdensburg with approximately 200 employees,” the chamber said. “In addition to their own employees, the area trucking industry benefits greatly from the daily movement of products into and out of the distribution center. ACCO is the first business to participate in the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority’s Foreign Trade Zone.”
