CANTON -- The annual Pars for Paws tournament held last month at Partridge Run Golf & Country Club in Canton raised more than $10,000 for the Potsdam Humane Society (PHS).
“We would like to thank all of our sponsors, prize donors, and golfers for their support and generosity,” said Suzanne Smith, Pars for Paws Tournament Chair and a PHS board member. “The weather was perfect and we had a fantastic turnout.”
More than 50 local businesses supported the tournament through sponsorships and prize donations.
“We would like to offer a special thank you to this year’s Gold Sponsors, which included LTI Trucking/The Body Shop, MH Studios, Save-a-lot, T&R Wines and Liquors and Town & Country Veterinary Clinic,” said Smith. “All of these businesses have been Gold sponsors for past tournaments as well so we appreciate their ongoing support of PHS and its programs.”
The Potsdam Humane Society (PHS) is a non-profit organization serving 11 towns within St. Lawrence County. Each year, PHS provides services and humane care to around 1,200 animals, as well as educational programs for the community and local schools, a Pets for Veterans program, and a low-cost spay/neuter program.
