POTSDAM -- Earlier this month, Clarkson University’s Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) program presented its 16th Executive Seminar, delivering state-of-the-art education to corporate professionals.

“We are pleased that our executive seminar continues to attract supply chain professionals from numerous highly respected global companies,” said Professor Farzad Mahmoodi, the Joel Goldschein ’57 Endowed Chair in Global Supply Chain Management and director of the program. “It’s a strong endorsement of the quality of our faculty and the relevance of our curriculum.”

The four-day, on-campus program attracted participants from Toyota, Stanley Black & Decker, Xerox, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Corning, Raymond Corporation, Snap-on Tools, and Par Technology Corporation.

Seminar topics included emerging trends and proven strategies in GSCM, measuring supply chain financial performance, inventory management and logistics strategies, global sourcing and supply chain integration, coping with supply chain disruptions, aligning supply chain incentives and mitigating risk through contracting, negotiations in supply chain management, and disruptive technologies in the supply chain.

Since the seminar began in 2001, more than 500 executives, managers, directors and consultants from 45 states and four continents have attended, representing more than 80 globally recognized corporations, including about 30 Fortune 500 companies.
