OGDENSBURG -- In an effort to raise awareness and diagnosis of Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD), doctors and nurses at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center will provide a free PVD screening on Wednesday, December 1, from 4-6:30 p.m. in Claxton-Hepburn’s auditorium.

Appointments are required.

Affecting an estimated 8 million Americans, PVD is characterized by leg pain, numbness or weakness in the legs, or sores on the feet that are slow to heal.

Dr. Ali Gharagozloo, chief of radiology at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, will be joined by surgeons on staff at Claxton-Hepburn for the screenings.

To make an appointment for this free screening, contact Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s community relations department at 713-5251.
