NBT Bancorp has named former Vermont Governor James H. Douglas, Albany-area businessman Timothy E. Delaney, and United Health Services President and CEO Matthew Salanger to the company’s board of directors.
Based in Norwich, NBT Bank is a full-service community bank with branches in Canton, Massena, Norfolk, Ogdensburg and Potsdam.
Douglas has been serving the people of Vermont for more than 35 years. He was governor of Vermont since his inauguration in 2003 until earlier this month. He is the immediate past chairman of the National Governors Association.
Delaney has been affiliated with NBT Bancorp since 2006, when he joined the board of directors concurrent with NBT’s acquisition of the Gloversville-based CNB Bancorp. He is the founder and president of The Delaney Group, Inc., a Tetra-Tech company, located in Mayfield. He is a current board member and former president of the New York State Chapter Associated General Contractors.
Since April 2007, Salanger has served as president and chief executive officer of United Health Services (UHS), whose network includes UHS Binghamton General Hospital, UHS Wilson Medical Center, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, UHS Delaware Valley Hospital, UHS Primary Care, UHS Medical Group, UHS Senior Living at Ideal and UHS Home Care.
NBT Bancorp Inc. is a financial holding company headquartered in Norwich, NewYork, with total assets of $5.3 billion at December 31, 2010.
