Kidz Closet opens in Potsdam with second-hand children's clothing

POTSDAM – The Kidz Closet, a second-hand children’s clothing store, has opened at 75 Market St., next to Sandstone Drive.
“We recognized a need for reasonably priced clothing for kids,” said Paula Vernile of Madrid, who owns the shop with her mother, Jean Worchester. “We know there are not many places you can go to purchase clothing for kids.
“With the economy the way it is, we know people are looking for ways to save money.”
The shop has clothing for boys and girls, from infants to teens, and baby items and toys.
Open hours are Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store is closed on Mondays.
“We’re excited about the store,” Vernile said, “and a lot of people are coming in ezxcited about it, too. There’s a good buzz out there.”
The store is accepting donations of clothing, and can pay a little for good used items, “in order to keep our prices reasonable,” Vernile said.
