County Chamber seeks nominations for Business of the Year; award at annual dinner Oct. 15

CANTON – The St. Lawrence County Chamber seeks nominations for Business of the Year, to be awarded at the chamber’s annual dinner on Oct. 15 at SUNY Potsdam’s Knowles Conference Center.
Anyone may submit the name of a business they believe has shown a positive impact and creative influence on business and the people of St. Lawrence County and that has led to better quality of life.
Nominations should be sent to the County Chamber, 101 Main Street, Canton, NY 13617, by fax to 379-0134, or to chamber@twcny.rr.com. The entries should include information about the business nominated, including why they should be selected by the chamber as Business of the Year; the nominator’s name, business, address, phone and email, as well as contact person, phone and email.
Deadline for nominations in Oct. 1 at 5 p.m.
Business honored in the past include Penski, Inc., NuMed, Inc, Corning Inc., Potsdam Hardwoods Inc., AAA St. Lawrence County, Nicholville Telephone Co. Sunfeather Soap, Tamarack Tree Service, Northern Sharpening, McCadam Cheese, Heritage Cheese House, Northern Merchant Services, SeaComm Federal Credit Union, Kinney Drugs, and Mort Backus and Sons and Morning Star Homes.
Reservations for the annual dinner can be made by calling the chamber at 386-4000. The cost is $38 per person, or corporate table for $350. A guest speaker from Cape Air and live and silent auctions will also be featured during the evening.
