OGDENSBURG -- Corning, Inc. was a 2012 sponsor of the annual education fundraiser Classic Golf Tournament for Kids’ Place at the Frederic Remington Art Museum.
“Once again Corning Glass displays its business leadership in support of education at the Frederic Remington Art Museum. In recent years local schools have been facing increasing pressure to cut back on art, so our efforts are have become more important every year. We’re very grateful to Corning,” said museum Executive Director Ed LaVarnway.
In addition to distance learning programs, the Museum provides a wide array of kid-friendly classes and projects at Kid’s Place and lectures and tours at the 1810 Parish Mansion.
The museum is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington, and contains a collection of his works.
