OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center's Rev. Thomas T. Patterson Wound Healing Center was recently given the Center of Distinction Award by Healogics, Inc., Jacksonville, Fla.
The wound center is a member of the Healogics network, which includes upwards of 550 similar facilities nationwide.
A news release from CHMC says the Patterson center scored high on the grading system Healogics uses to determine the award-winner. The hospital says they achieved 92 percent patient satisfaction over a 12-month period and a 91-percent rate of wounds healing within 30 days.
Of 511 centers eligible for the award, 157 actually got it, CHMC said.
