OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center has added an obstetrician and gynecologist to its medical staff.
Peggy Bastien comes to Claxton-Hepburn from Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Hamilton, N.J. She practiced there from October 2012 until coming to Ogdensburg. Bastien is practicing at 3 Lyon Pl., Suite 300.
She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology through SUNY Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse. Bastien earned her doctor of medicine from Ross University and is fluent in French and Creole.
“I plan to provide excellent and high-quality care in an atmosphere where women of all ages are comfortable," Bastien is quoted in a news release froM Claxton-Hepburn. "I want them to feel confident that they can discuss complex clinical and personal issues and be assured that they will receive proper counseling and knowledge of current recommendations.”
Outside of work, enjoys watching movies, outdoor activities and spending quality time with family. She especially loves traveling to third world countries to provide medical missionary work, the release says.
